We were told during check out that due to the problems that we had at the home that they planned to block the home off. Front desk weren’t able to help out much but to send messages or redirect us to guest express. I even discussed the situation with the covering management Sarah and no one was able to tell me why I was charged twice. The front desk staff is pleasant but they charged me twice for the security deposit. The linens in our room were stained which caused us to go out to buy our own linens. The home was in need of a touch up painting, deep clean (oven, fridge and carpet), furniture and patio replacement. We also put in a request for the pool to be cleaned and they never came during our stay. We even offered to split our group to 2 homes if needed but he stated he couldn’t get approval for it so we were stuck in the home during our stay. He advised he was unable to move us because he didn’t have a home to accommodate our group size. We notified staff and management (Max) on the day of check in. I stayed at 7652 Fairfax Dr which was an 11 bedroom home. I agree with the other reviews that the resort is going downhill. This stay was not so great and highly disappointing. This is my second booking with Encore resort. It was a disappointment from day one to day seven! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. It was very costly for our family of 9 to go from Chicago to Florida and we wouldn't let this resort ruin our good time. Lastly, When you are planning your vacation here, you need to know that after the cleaning fee, care package cost, daily amenity fee and taxes, your bill will be at least 27% more than the cost of the house. They eventually got everything out but it was an hour and a half later.ġ1. They said that they did know anyone wanted to do it and the event director was not working. We were attending the ice cream social with the kids and when we couldn't find it, we asked. They advertise many events during the week. The staff was nice, but not very helpful and did not communicate with each other.ġ1. There were lots of bugs and small worms in the house.ġ0. There are no cleaning supplies for the house if you spill or want to clean the counters.ĩ. We had to call twice to get them to bring it to us.Ĩ. We paid to have a gas grill and when we arrived we noticed no propane tank. This was too late because 3 of my 4 grandchildren had bilateral ear infections from swimming in that pool and our medical bills were around $700.ħ. The pool was a little cloudy when we arrived and on day 2 or 3 we smelled chlorine so we figured it had been treated. ![]() ![]() We were told it was not a hot tub, but a bubbling water feature unless we paid $44 a day to turn on the heat in the hot tub and pool. Each house has a beautiful pool and what we thought was a hot tub. The vertical blinds were broken and would not close.Ħ. One kitchen cabinet had a broken hinge, as did one of the dressers in one bedroom. There is a large sectional in the living area and the entire back was broken on one side, the springs were broken on the other side and the back cushion was ripped. When we walked into the home, the entire floor was sticky and there was melted chocolate on the hall carpeting and in one bedroom.ĥ. We had no kitchen towels or dish clothes and had to call to request them. (You can get an extra set of towels for $5.00.) I was told this was why they had a washer. So, if you have 9 people or 10 like the house advertises, you will have to use the same towel to shower and use at the pool. They give you 3 sets of towels for each bathroom. Also, if you plan to cook as we did, there were also very limited other kitchen supplies. We found that the house, though made to house 10 people, didn't have enough pots or pans to cook for 2. it is also set to go no lower than 72 degrees.Ģ. We called the management and they sent someone out who told us that all of the AC is controlled by the main computer and no one turned ours on. When we arrived the house was 80 degrees. We arrived late due to a delay in getting our rental car. Our stay here was full of issues and disappointments from the arrival. We just spent a week with our family at this resort. ![]()
